The project involves the renovation and expansion of an urban villa in the former Fiera district of Milan. It redefines the relationship between the house and its garden, overturning the original concept in which the green space functioned as a secluded backyard.

Previously, the living areas faced the street, while service rooms overlooked the garden. The expansion, featuring a veranda that houses the living room, along with a complete reorganization of the interior spaces, introduces a new way of inhabiting the home by reversing these orientations.

The extension consists of a glass-enclosed veranda, seamlessly connecting the living space with the garden. The garden itself has been redesigned and replanted in accordance with its original layout, adapting to its renewed relationship with the house.

The renovation is completed by the refurbishment of all systems, bringing the residence up to modern environmental sustainability standards.
