The new RR22 residential building is located in the Nolo district of Milan, an area undergoing rapid social transformation, characterized by the presence of schools, kindergartens, and green play areas. This evolving urban context evokes examples of contemporary Northern European residential architecture, where high-density buildings successfully integrate typological complexity while addressing the recognized need for each home to maintain a connection with the outdoors and natural elements.

The project was conceived to unify different housing typologies within a single urban element, primarily designed for families, all featuring spacious private green outdoor areas. The building presents a "tower" façade along the street, incorporating the vertical circulation core, which distributes access to row houses through an external corridor on the first and third floors along the eastern side. The first level of the building is elevated above a ground-floor podium housing shared services and parking spaces. This level includes duplex apartments with double-height living areas opening onto generous terraces. The second level consists of single- or two-story apartments arranged in an "L" shape around patio-like terraces. All terraces face southwest to optimize sunlight exposure and outdoor living. The two long sides of the building have distinct characteristics: the western side, with better exposure, is more open and defined by the apartments' terraces, while the eastern side features access corridors and private balconies for the bedrooms, shaded and enriched by a green climbing wall.
